Claiming to be a Christian, Adam Tamizi seeks Israeli citizenship

Adam Tamizi Haque, managing director of Haque Group of Industries, has claimed to be a Christian follower by cutting his beard and mustache and sought the citizenship of Israel.

He also requested the Israeli government’s assistance to rescue him from Bangladesh as soon as possible.

On Friday, a video of Adam Tamizi Haque was published on Facebook by Rabiul Islam alias Arav Khan, Dubai based gold merchant and accused in the police murder case.

On that video Adam said, His house’s water supply and electricity lines have been cut off for the past three days. There is no food in the house, and his wife is pregnant and mentally disturbed. He is seeking support from Christian community as well as Israeli citizenship.”

He returned to Bangladesh on Monday. He announced his arrival in a post on his verified Facebook page.

He conducted a series of Facebook Live sessions, during which he controversially burnt his passport and made disparaging remarks about women in leadership, the Awami League, and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Adam Tamizi Haque, is under surveillance and can be arrested at any time, according to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

He faces multiple cases under the Digital Security Act (DSA), RAB’s Law and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin confirmed the matter on Friday evening.

Adam Tamizi will be brought under the law even if it takes some time as there are allegations against him.RAB members are ready to conduct the operation, said the RAB official.

Intelligence agencies are also working to arrest him, he added further.
